The old camp
The old camp is located in the centre of the colony.
It is made up of the castle which forms the inner ring and the palisade which forms the outer ring.
The leader of the old camp, Gomez Bach lives in the castle and only trusted men of his and a group of people called "guardsmen" are allowed inside the castle perimeter.
Inside the castle are also several mages kept prisoners more or less, they are allowed to walk around in the courtyard of the castle but aren't allowed to leave. They are forced to study the magic barrier to find a way to dispel it. The palisade houses the majority of the people of the old camp, comprising mostly of fire pits and basic wooden huts. Anyone is allowed in here as long as they stick to the rules. The palisade is split into four quarters.
The north gate quarter, the arena quarter (also called the smithy's quarter), the market quarter and the southern gate quarter.
Each quarter is looked after by an experienced guardsman, they make sure no one breaks the rules and that their quarter runs smoothly.
These guardsmen are Bloodwyn, Fletcher, Drax and Heinrich respectively. The old camp mostly relies on deliveries from the outside through the ore exchange for their food and drink supplies. It has 3 internal groups; The diggers, The shadows and The guardsmen. The diggers are lowest on the food chain and are the ones being made to dig up the magic ore from the old mine under the guard of The shadows or The guardsmen. The shadows are the ones that support The guardsmen, be it escorting the mining convoy to and from the old mine and exchange point with the outside world, guarding the camp and making sure everyone does their job in The old camp. They are lead by a man named Sly. The guardsmen are the ones that enjoy the most privileges and the ones everyone has to listen to, they tell people what to do, they make sure The old camp is safe and runs smoothly. They are lead by Thorus.
