History of Svimalin

The dwarves of Karak Lok were seeking to end hostilities with the elves of Annotii.
An envoy was sent with gold, gems and jewellery. The elven King appreciated the gift and came back with the envoy to talk and eventually sign the peace agreement in the dwarven King's palace.   Upon his return, the elven King ordered the raids and attacks on the dwarven lands to cease at once and the dwarven King ordered a stop to the retaliatory attacks.

The new elven King of Annotii, Sarathai Nadrur believes dwarves to be a lesser race and always felt contempt for them during his fathers rule.
Now that he became King, he decided to show the dwarves the true might of the elves by performing a swift strike into the heart of Karak Lok and start a war that would last until the last dwarf near Annotii was nothing more than history.

After recovering from the attack, the dwarves of Karak Lok were focusing everything on rebuilding their army, even recruiting mercenaries from other dwarven territories to fill their ranks.
Even though they have been weakened, so were the elves of Annotii.   The dwarves gathered an army that was armed to the teeth, wearing heavy armour and powerful weapons. As soon as it was ready, the army was sent to the east to attack Annotii.

The dwarves of Svimalin made a trade agreement with Cronland.
Svimalin is trading their metals and gems for the readily available food and wood that grows well on Cronland's soil.

In 864, Karunnnif started a bloody civil war to split from Svimalin.   The war is still ongoing, though with much fewer battles than at the beginning.

After setting a trap for the leader of the Dammaz Dawri, Lund Grimaz, Lund was publicly executed for his crimes by King Rathspori Hilldeguard.

Dwarves from Svimalin called Cairn Candle Fury, Feb Giant Crown, Tholig Dragon Slayer and Skai Hammer-Mallet have attempted an assassination attempt on Queen Irien.
Though unsuccessful, the assassins have escaped unscathed.

The war of old is part of the ancient conflict between Annotii and Svimalin, though it can be called a new war for all intents and purposes as the old conflict merely consisted of a few skirmishes here and there, where as this new war is developing into a proper war set out to conquer one another.

The War of Old came to a quick end due to the destruction caused to Annotii by Varinor-Kenui.
