After the growth of their cities and hardened defenses against the Yuan-Ti, raiders, and other beasts of the jungle, the Karugara tribes knew peace. However, as Amonkhet began raiding the jungles with never before seen might, the tribe leaders met to offer and accord. They would need to join together to protect their homes from outside influence and the destruction of these Hettians. It was decided a leader for their tribe must be chosen. It was then that the leaders fought in hand to hand combat to decide who would lead the three tribes to victory. The leader of the Lizard tribe of Carja, the leader of the Human tribe of Akintola, and the leader of the Tortle tribe of Meridian. In the end, it was the human leader who won, using his prowess in unarmed combat. With that, Chief Jabari Abiola became the leader of the three tribes as they began their plans to go to war with Amonkhet.
