The day Zhang Chenglei developed the steam engine, boosting the fervor of inventors to test the new device and its ability.

Seeing many of the mines that dotted Junihoshi flood from time to time and how it slowed productivity of materials due to the long and arduous process of clearing out the water, Chenlei developed a device that used water vapor to power a pump system to extract the water by a hose and dump it in another location, returning miners to work at an earlier date. Seeing the possibilities of steam and the power it could produce, other inventors began to study the device.
