When Junihoshi found the mainland.

The Tyrant of Junihoshi, Tanaka at the time, growing old placed his first born son in charge of the land as he and several of his elite guard and citizens traveled across the sea to the mainland after hearing of its bountiful resources. They would create a new city and spread the might of Junihoshi, creating Fort Tanaka, in remembrance of Tanaka, as he died of old age before reaching the new land. General Batu took the title of leader for the expedition.
