The Ten Lashes
Summary
The Ten Lashes is a ruthless underground organization operating in Idir, parts of Peredhel and perhaps beyond. It's led by the infamous Captain “Torr” Walter. Known for their harsh treatment and secretive nature, The Ten Lashes specialize in person trafficking and slavery—a deeply despised practice especially in a region that values freedom above all. The group's influence has spread from the shadows of Haudh-Gwenn to smaller towns like Loshev, Harad, etc -- where they infiltrate local communities, exploiting the unsuspecting and vulnerable.Structure
Captain Torr, who bears a tattoo of a Cat o' nine tails whip, leads the Ten Lashes. Below him are his nine trusted lieutenants, each marked by a tattoo of a single lash, symbolizing their rank and allegiance. Each member oversees a specific part of the operation, from handling local contacts to managing trade routes, ensuring the organization's grip remains firm across Idir.Goals
The Ten Lashes seek to dominate the illicit slave trade, even operating discreetly in regions that would otherwise be hostile to such practices. Through bribery, coercion, and brute force, they secure influence in town councils and local governments, using these connections to evade detection and law enforcement. Their operations are run with a strict code of silence, and betrayal is met with a violent end.Notable Members

Notoriety and Rumors
Despite their attempts at secrecy, the Ten Lashes’ presence has stirred fear and anger among Idir’s population. Locals whisper of their hideouts in abandoned ruins and caves, where those unlucky enough to be captured are held. Tales of tattooed enforcers lurking in along riverways have led to rising suspicion. After Cleven Gemsmith was captured, the leadership of Loshevbecame invested in hunting them down. This has mdae it increasingly difficult for the organization to operate in populated areas.Base of Operations
While the Ten Lashes are known to operate from various locations, including hidden caves and urban ruins, their primary headquarters remained a mystery till recently. The recent raid on their hideout in the caves between Haudh-Gwenn and Westwood has forced the remaining members to go further underground.Symbolism and Tactics
Each member’s tattoo reflects their commitment and rank within the organization, serving as a permanent mark of loyalty to Torr. Members often work in pairs, carrying out their tasks discreetly to avoid detection. The Ten Lashes are meticulous in covering their tracks, and they are known to eliminate any who might pose a threat to their secrecy.Current Status
After a recent raid that led to the capture of several members and the rescue of enslaved individuals, the Ten Lashes have been dealt a significant blow. With the death of their leader Torr, the group’s future remains uncertain. Some fear that, if given the chance, they might attempt to rebuild the organization.
