Typhoon, known as "
the Realm Dragon", is one of two matron
dragon goddesses, the other being
Dragoon. As the goddess of balance and the elements, she granted her
dragon children their natural affinity for fire, ice, and lightning, a generous bestowing of power that she would come to regret.
Typhoon is the goddess of the
Elemental Planes, tasked with holding the planes together and maintaining the connections between the Material Plane and the five elements of fire, water, wood, earth, and metal. Despite this, she is slowly withering away, and is a shell of her former self. Her last aspect resides in the
City of Pillars, where her followers struggle to make the offerings necessary to keep her alive. Should she truly fade from life, the elements would rapidly fall out of balance, and with them the Material Plane itself would be destroyed. Therefore, her continued survival is paramount, and to that end her worshipers are often seen traveling the land, finding ancient lore and new converts to aid in healing her through magic and prayer.
Worship of Typhoon is most predominant in places such as the
Kingdoms of Luxo, where they worship the elemental spirits of the land, as well as among the peoples of the
Sunset Sea where the elemental gates within the
City of Pillars have made the region highly populated by elemental beings such as
Genasi and
Genies.
Typhoon is a primary deity within the
Draconic Pantheon and the
Lore of the Deep (where she is known as "The Great Serpent").
