While their counterparts, the
Akati, have found a new home in a former colony of theirs and have seemingly rebuilt a blossoming society as if the War never happened between their peoples - the same cannot be said for the illevans who managed to flee Japhaia and the lifeless Wastelands.
Cut from the same cloth once upon an ancient time, the illevan and the akati were mirror civilizations located in the Shadowfell and the Feywild respectively. Cooperation and exchange between them was illustrious, rich, and exciting - until their ideals started to diverge, which in turn led to a bitter rivalry that would change the world as we know it.
History
Japhaia was a massive, bustling metropolis located in the Shadowfell. It was the mirror of Ghor Minthra on the material plane, as Agartha was its Feywild mirror on the other side of the material plane.

Illeva was a monarcy, ruled by a monarch and their court which consisted of five halls. As with most dark races, the political landscape was wildly uncertain, marred by intrigue, secret plots and infighting.
In the year 138 CE, Illeva is no longer a monarcy, or indeed a country in the traditional sense of the word. But there are rumours of a surviving heir who is destined to bring their soceity together again.
Worship
The illevans have had a love/hate relationship with the Fallen deities in the past, but have also worked to free themselves of these bonds. Taking control of their own fates, their own souls and their own will. As with all Shadowfell denizens, Ithe is the primary goddess and her influence can be felt in the illevan society.
