Peter's father turned out to be a flaky fly-by-night who abandoned her pregnant mother before she was born. Undaunted and unflustered by this unforeseen setback, Peter's Irish-descended mother resolved to raise her daughter to be an independent woman who needs no man. She decided to start by giving her new baby a unisex name, so she'd never be discriminated against in resume screenings. Unfortunately, she didn't realise that "Peter" and "Peta" were merely homophones.
However, years later tragedy struck. Unbeknownst to Peter at the time, her mother was hiding a powerful artefact from the Fomorians, her grandfather's legendary blade Fragarach, The Answerer. Peter watched on as the giant, hideous creatures tore her mother apart while she hid. It was only after that Death in the Family that Peter discovered the blade, and awoke her latent abilities. Now empowered, she hunted down the darkness, a Small, But Fierce warrior that knew to Never Hold Back.
Peter would later learn that her mother wasn't killed by Detective Alec Emerson and his college, but by followers of her grandfather, the Dagda. This revelation about her past meant she had to re-evaluate all that she knew about the Death in the Family, even as she came to terms with her Mythos' talents as a Master of All Skills.
This would all change once more when, after being blessed by the Moon Goddess, Peter found herself appointed a new role as Moon Guardian. With the words Run Rabbit, Run echoing in her mind, Peter now tries to escape her grandfather's huntsmen and reclaim her sword from Bennet Dunlap, all-the-while maintaining her job as an Apirisng Marketing Specialist. Quite a lot to manage when you'd rather just sit around and be a Bookworm.

History
After Peter and her friends prevented Bennet from completing his ritual to merge with the Wendigo and becoming whole again, he vowed to get revenge against her. He began by taking Peter's treasured sword, Fragarach, and binding it in ice.
