Ablio Nickelbraid

Ablio Nickelbraid is the founder and CEO of the Nickelbraid Telecast Company (NTC) in Holdenglade. Born a real charmer, Ablio broke away from his family business of fletching and used his charisma to aid his journey into entrepreneurship. Nickelbraid founded the NTC in 519 AXR under reign of the benevolent King Orthrond V, starting out with only a single sending stone in a small rented room above a tavern in San Cherico. However, the people of Holdenglade gradually began to take notice of him and his witty remarks on the conditions in the city and in 520 AXR, the King personally wrote a letter to him describing how he would wake up at precisely 6 in the morning every day just to hear Ablio's broadcast, which skyrocketed the dwarf into stardom. Later that year, Ablio had amassed sufficient funds to purchase a large property in the Aspen Vestige that would act as the NTC broadcast building. From here, he began to expand the business into printing newspapers and posters, hiring a select few employees to help him on his way (namely his trusty receptionist Doris).
However, his luck took a turn when the King suddenly died in 523 AXR, leaving his corrupted son, King Orthrond VI, to inherit the throne. Orthrond introduced a much higher tax rate on the populace and limited what Ablio was permitted to broadcast to the public (especially in regard to the status of the royal family). This drove Ablio's business (and many others in Holdenglade) into the ground. Angered, he tried to negotiate with the new King for a number of years but was denied every single time. At one point, he was forced to lay off all of his employees, bar Doris, just to keep the business afloat.
After years of hardship and sacrifice, Ablio was finally given a miracle in 529 AXR - a miracle in the form of the Masters of the Nine Elements. He was first visited by Averel Talekin and Sly Tony in Xǐàmís to negotiate about darkening media coverage in Holdenglade during their revolution so that Orthrond would be less prepared when the party sieged Reaver's Keep later that month. Still frustrated with the actions of the King, Ablio took their offer in return for a lower promised tax rate under the new revolutionary government, as well as allowing Tony to broadcast a few messages of his own to the people of the city, persuading them to rise up against the monarchy and take back what was theirs to begin with. Up until its end, Nickelbraid played a substantial role in the Siege of Holdenglade, broadcasting a victory speech from Tony to the entirety of the city after Orthrond's death (a message even Barontyne heard from across the continent). His dedication to the revolution compelled Tony to fulfil his end of the bargain and lower the tax placed on the NTC under their rule.
Nickelbraid met with the party a few times more upon their return to the city in late Sṽenɀamís, this time aiding in a propaganda campaign led by Tony to persuade the citizens of Holdenglade to rise up against Imperial threat. In the 20 days the campaign ran for, it was largely successful, just as the previous campaign had been, proving just how silver-tongued Ablio Nickelbraid really is.
Using the profits from his business, he started a side-project called 'the Ablio Rogan Podcast', in which he brings in special guests to speak out about the revolution and spread awareness.
