The Phantom Assassin

The name 'Ardenyx' strikes fear into the hearts of many - the sort of name you'd hear in your nightmares before waking up in a cold sweat. Not much is known about this mysterious figure except for the fact that in his past life, he was struck down by André Calixis at the Battle of Bridgeham. Fueled by rage and desire for vengeance, he refused to die, becoming a revenant and swearing to kill Calixis for what he did. Though no matter how hard he tried, Calixis was too strong of a foe, essentially meaning Ardenyx wouldn't be able to rest until the mad sorcerer was dead. Seeing the potential in an immortal assassin, Calixis struck a deal with the revenant: if he worked as one of the Empire's mules, he would eventually be set free when Calixis lifted his curse. Left no other option, Ardenyx agreed and began to hunt down those who opposed the Empire or Calixis himself, returning again and again until his target was dead. Now those on his radar are forced to remain vigilant, for there's no escaping the Phantom Assassin.
