History
Dörnamfærn was founded in
479 BXR as a Qarunian province following the revolt. The first Governor played a huge role in establishing the new province by overseeing the creation of hundreds of iron quarries. This attracted Dwarves from other parts of the country, resulting in a rapid population boom. After
The Wars of Xandria had subsided,
Dörnamfærn was rebuilt again, bigger and richer than ever before. However, in the centuries that followed, more and more countries started to establish their own iron works with the hope that they could source their weapons and armor locally without the need to import them. This forced
Dörnamfærn into a state of economic decline as there was less demand for their iron. To try and amend the dying iron business, the citizens of
Dörnamfærn appointed
Thorym Irønhardt as Governor - a shark of a businessman. They hoped that if they could get the people of
Avalǿn to think that Qarunian iron was superior, the iron mining business would thrive again. As a part of
Project Sygr'mir,
Irønhardt struck a deal with the Governor of
Ragnizdé:
Winston Van Der Bra'at in
511 AXR to try and unite the two provinces and revive
Qaruno's trading reputation.
Government
The current Governor of
Dörnamfærn,
Thorym Irønhardt, is in charge of the entirety of the province. Below him is the
Rû-kurlågn - a council elected underneath each Governor to help manage the provinces. In addition,
Irønhardt, as a Governor, is under the protection of the
K.O.D. (Knights of Dörnamfærn).
