Goron Roxise

Goron Roxise was the best friend of the late Kairon Phalia and former resident of Elgen Isle. He left the island in 527 AXR in search for higher magical education in Luna Menora but would soon find himself back to the island. In the early months of 529 AXR, he was contacted by the island's resident doctor, Francis Tennox, who asked for his aid with an ongoing epidemic on the island that was sure to spread in the coming months. Goron swiftly searched for all information he could find on the so called 'Aura Sickness' but yielded almost nothing - nothing except for an experimental journal entry that claimed its only cure, Rasdivis' Lotus was to be found in the upper, most dangerous levels of Byrexior. This led him to theorise that the disease itself was caused by prolonged exposure to the Underdark, and if there was some sort of entrance to Byrexior under the island that was leaking out the epidemic, Elgen Isle was in mortal danger.
He tossed and turned about returning for months, but eventually decided to leave Luna Menora upon hearing the news of the demise of his oldest friend in Ablefell. Wanting to give Kairon a heroic sendoff, he located the party he was travelling with and commissioned them to help him retrieve his body from the city's chaotic streets. Pleased with their help, he realised they could aid his quandary, and so hired them once more to delve deep below Elgen Isle and discover the root of the problem. After the mission was completed, he bid them farewell but remained on the island to conduct further research.
