General Summary
- dvolta did a scrying!
- sends Varial Arden up the mountain in the center of the continent with a package
- get to a plateau that seems purposefully flattened
- the ground starts moving. surprise! its a dragon!
- dragon seems at least a 1000 years old
- Varial tells him "theres a group that thinks they can break the seal, im here to show them that they cannot"
- dragon seems confident that we cant. sits up and reveals a cave
- in the cave are murals of 8 cloaked figures fighting a tentacled entity and an army of creatures from the sea and shambling figures covered in blue crystals
- they appear to lose the fight, but thru a final sacrifice seals the entitiy within this continent
- theres a door with 8 symbols of the chosen on it
- based on the texts that we can see, Lucius Valerius probably invented the gods of the church based off these people
- adelaide and yivins no good very bad religious crisis
- we realize that the god that Lucius is talking about might be this entity and it is probably influencing him
- lets dvolta taxi to some kids
- a middle-aged "cleric" greets us Hurgen Valificus
- Rithous Valificus the 3rd's great nephew
- smells bad
- not sanctified holy or unholy (weird.....)
- seems happy about Caylon leaving, which the church wouldnt be happy abt a chosen leaving??
- we finally get to say hi to Faun Coren
- caylon gets a new magical dagger (by god we gotta stop vani)
- hes been getting taught how to do magic and stab REAL good (lvl 5 now)
- vani asks if he wants to come with us, but dvolta suggestions him so he doesnt want to come so we leave him on the boat
- we tell him we'll check in
- KIRAN REMEMBER TO DO THIS!!!!
- we give faun a scroll of sending in case smth happens to the boat and we have to rush over
- otherwise leave the boat. theres TOTALLY NOT important people on here! we care about them a normal amount!
- dvolta taxi to Valane
- theres a MASSIVE WALL that appears to the layperson to have no doors
- we can see mechanisms that can make entrances
- theres also a big hole in there with blue crystals.... Blackfrost.....
- automatons without souls led by humans patching it up
- we discuss for a while, and then the wall opens up
- and then we get invited into valane to meet Lord Netherrim
- everyone in the city is either soulless robot or is humanoid and rushing around on a tight schedule
- korkau stops someone
- they are upset bc they have to keep moving, otherwise they will lose their luxuries
- we go to the clock tower at the center of valane
- we go to the top. hi adelaide! its ur dad! he seems weird! soulless!
- and also theres many many souls!!!!!!
