Blood-Bending

Blood-Bending is only learned by a very few. It is seen as being connected with evil spirits and death. The Blood-Benders of the Greater Northwestern Forest view the gaining of the ability to Blood-Bend as a raw renewal of life, like a new-born child coming into the world. However, there are few Blood-Benders and many outsiders. Public perception is heavily against them.
Blood-Benders are not welcome in most parts of the Earth Kingdom. However, Blood-Benders are treated with a "don't ask, don't tell" policy most of the time, so they are usually able to travel freely - as long as they keep their bending practices to themselves.
