Zhoj

Father of Onar and Obin and former Lord-Governor of the Republic of the Fire Isles. Zhoj's reign as Lord-Governor was marked by peace and prosperity in the Fire Nation. Zhoj considered himself to be a philosopher king and prioritized diplomacy and education over military build-up and training. Ironically however, the Fire Nation military under Zhoj's rule grew to the most powerful it had ever been within Fire Nation society due to such great economic prosperity. Fearful of the power of leaders within the military, Zhoj refused to appoint any military leaders to positions of prominence within the Fire Nation. This created some tensions between the Fire Nation military and the Fire Nation government. Dispite ruling the Fire Nation in a peaceful way, Zhoj treated his sons, Onar and Obin, in a very rigid way to the point of acting cold towards them. Zhoj only gave commands to his sons, never stopping to talk with them about their day-to-day lives.
