Geography
The entire surface of the planet is made up of Crimson red water that gets its color from being heavily saturated with various minerals and vitamins that is used for many different uses across the galaxy.

Localized Phenomena
Every few years the planet will find itself lost within the a cloud of toxic gasses from the Kharga Nebula that the planet resides in, causing all breathable air to become completely toxic. this is known locally as the Scourge.

As previously stated the entirety of the planets surface is covered in mineral rich water that is harvested for many uses... additionally the planets crust is almost pure ruby... this is mined for use in lasers.
History
Vholos was first discovered by a Kadar scientist in the year 665 EWR and was first colonized by the mining guilds in 12 ASD. eventually the massive space port was build to accommodate the thousands of merchant ships every day that pass through the area.
