Vomulo 9

Geography

The surface of Vomulo 9 is covered in vast expanses of garden-like terrain, numerous flowers, plants, and trees of every variety packed densely around the many ponds and lakes that also dot the planet. No substantial seas or oceans can be found there in fact, with the largest body of water being only big enough to call a large lake at best. Still, there are more than enough of these ponds throughout the world for the myriad species of plant and animal life that reside there. Strangely, this seems to be the only biome found on the planet besides mountains, not a desert or frozen wasteland to be found. Even more bizarrely, these mountainous regions are only found in two perfect rings that encircle the world, with the paths being perpendicular to each other around their axis. Over time, Saurian scientists have deduced that this is caused by the insane magnetism of the planet's moon, known as The Eye of God. It is thought to have caused this over untold thousands if not millions of years of passing through the same two arcs in the sky over and over, the incredibly intense magnetic field slowly pulling metals and magnetic rocks up from underneath the crust and creating the vast mountain ranges. This moon as also the sole reason no substantial Saurian Empire presense have been established on the planet, as any buildings constructed there would be destroyed as the moon passes over head, not to mention what happens to nearby space vessels.
