House of Gray Wardens

"The Gray Wardens are the protectors of the city. They are the police and military defense. However, they're also something else as well, the Local Miner's Guild. Miners are considered by most Rock Gnomes to be the most important members of the community. Mining is very important in Rock Gnome culture and almost all Rock Gnomes will, at least occasionally, join a mining expedition as a sort of pilgrimage. Those who would pledge themselves to the Gray Wardens has both the honour of being a Miner but also the great responsibility to protect their home as well.
