Poheside Reef

Poheside Reed is unique as this small island isn’t made of sand or soil like most but has built up from a thriving coral reef and is a solid mass of crushed coral, seashells, and bone with a sandy white sediment filling in the cracks. Poheside Reef is generally ignored by the tribes, and is ripe with biodiversity including a secluded village of Tortles and Lizardfolk . This reef got its name from the Poheside Nautilus shells, that make up a majority of the crushed remnants that formed the island. The waters in and around the reef are often teeming with Poheside Nautilus spawning in the warm waters. Due to the abundance of spawning nautilus in these waters, it is not uncommon to see sharks and large octopi hunting in the waters. The ground is beautiful to those with an appreciation for natural beauty, naturally being a bone white color from the bleached corals, sand and bones, with flecks and streaks of yellow, tan and aqua from the shell patterns of the larger pieces of nautilus shells.
