Darkness in Drakoll

The group met with Sora's brother, Stregga and his associates. He told them that Sora's mother, who she believed was dead, was actually working in secret to deal with terrible crimes taking place in the Dragonkin nation of Drakoll. He told them of the dark history of that place.

Centuries ago, Chromatic young started to occasionally hatch from metallic eggs. The Metallic leaders of the nation banished all Chromatics from their lands. This didn't prevent the phenomenon from happening so the leaders went one step further and killed the Chromatic young and began the Gortleortess, or "Great Betrayal" where they also placed bounties on the heads of Chromatics.

The practice was stopped officially, but the Ellas Shierezz or "Endless Shameful Duty" as they refer to it, is still going on. They kill any Chromatic they discover within their borders, adult, child or hatchling. Stregga revealed that they did this because of a prophecy that Tiamat would be reborn from a chromatic hatchling. However, he also revealed the Tor Sheeross or "True Shame": that Bahamut would also be reborn when Tiamat returns.

Stregga and his company are working with Sora's mother and her group to smuggle hatchlings out of Drakoll before they can be killed. Sora has reached out via Sending to her mother, but no plans have been made to reunite as it could put the operation in danger.

Both Lucas and Sora have had troubling dreams featuring a grinding rasping sound that both featured something to do with Dragonkind. Perhaps it could be related. After traveling to the Dreadmire to meet with Sora's mother, they learned that dragonkin hatchlings from all over the nation were missing, including the white hatchling that Sora was tasked with rescuing.

Sora had a very interactive discussion with her patron deity, Bahamet and she learned that the person tasked with caring for the children would be her boyfriend, Strollux. The group went into the tunnels, led by a kobold named Kes. There they encountered undead troglodytes before finding the children and their caretakers being guarded by gemstone dragonkin of the emerald variety and had powerful psychic abilities.

They rescued the children and escaped but there is obviously more to be done. Reports have surfaced that undead are attacking people under the city of Auria and are moving out along the carved roads under the mountains.

Sutara, an elf from the Astral Plane has joined the group and she has insight into the nature of the Grasping Void and confirmed that this entity is related to the terrible things happening in Drakoll. The group has arrived in Drakoll, joined by the Kobold warrior named Esk. They received information from Queen Siltiara of Agierus and are trying to gain favor from the other Queens so they can move through the region freely.
