Bardalm Juska

Overview

Bardalm Juska is a strangely mysterious figure of history in spite of his legacy as the foundry of the only large settlement in the Dulkėtas Dykuma, Oazė. If he ever kept a journal to chronicle his life, it has yet to be found.

Founder of Oazė

Bardalm was the founder of the settlement of Oazė. He founded the city after he saw an image of its glory in the still waters of what is now known as Mirror of Bardalm (known by locals of the region as "the Mirror"). When he died, the city had yet to live up to the vision he saw. The city still grows, and it is already an invaluable oasis for travelers across the dusty stretches of the Dulkėtas Dykuma partly because it is the only permanent settlement in that desert.

Unexplained Death

One day, Bardalm's wife discovered his desiccated body. The room the body was found in had a pitcher of wine and an empty cup that had fallen out of Bardalm's hand.
Many have their own theories of the cause. Some say he was poisoned by someone close to him. Others believed that he had disturbed the waters of The Mirror, and that this was the curse he brought upon himself. While official investigation into the matter has been closed for some time, his surviving daughter still offers a reward for any investigator who can solve the mystery. Many have taken the offer, none have solved the case.

• Failed to establish a town near the shores of the Occulus Sea. This effort preceded the founding of Oaze.
