Port Town of Dytiká

You can't see the ocean proper from the port here, but make no mistake that this is the place to be when preparing for a long journey westward across the vast oceans.
— Artur Neha, Traveler

Overview

The westernmost major port of Continental Island of Dammerung, which makes it the westernmost settlement of the Quassus Continent.   The town's location lies at the Ánoixe Delta, which lies just south of the Morads of the southern quarter of the Isychia Valley. The port town is the nexus of trade between the port towns of the Occulus Sea and the nearby towns and villages of the western lands of Dammerung. Dytika is an important source of trade for the Reborn City of Haven.

Sýnthesi Harbor

The most famous harbor on the western coast of Dammerung. It is this harbor where many expeditions to The Verdant Archipelago are prepared.   The harbor is large, accounting for half the size of the port town. Part of the harbor is a massive fish market. The Wowala Ocean providing for many kinds of exotic looking fish that are considered rare delicacies by most, and vibrant trophies by the rich.

Epastus Ruins

Near the middle of the Ánoixe Delta lies the Epastus Ruins. Epastus was once an Ancient city that is now swallowed by the Azure Ocean. Some of the tall ancient structures remain visible above the waves. There are not enough remaining to present more than a minor navigational challenge to incoming and outgoing vessels. Some ships have been known to crash into the towers at night. Such accidents have yet to destroy a tower, though there are increasing concerns about the eventuality as sea traffic increases.   Officially, the Epastus Ruins are off limits. One should obtain a permit from the Dytika authorities before trying to salvage anything from the ruins. That does not stop the occasional delver from making an illegal dive in the Epastus Ruins. In the process, Undead are often awoken by such dives. Dytika's Naval Guard have to deal with the undead before the town or anyone else is threatened by the awakened undead. The penalties for visiting the ruins without expressed authorization have been increasing in harshness in recent years.

Everyone talks about the Sýnthesi Harbor when it is the sea farm that is truly impressive.

Kýklos Sea Farms

Located nearer to the port town, to the west of the Ánoixe Delta is a large sea farm. This sea farm is designed to cultivate a variety of sea grown food that includes edible seaweed and oysters. The exact makeup of the crops produced in the Kýklos sea farms depends on what is demanded or more often what will grow in a given year. As such, no one can really predict what the farm can bring to the table. The sea farms are a relatively recent addition having began construction in 1050AGC and finishing in 1255AGC.   The design of the Kýklos Sea Farms was inspired by the designs of the great sea farms found in the Azumanami Thalassocracy.
