Citadel of Bronze

In the late Fourth Age, the Citadel of Bronze was a large castle and keep located in the far north of Parthenia, in the area now known as the Glass Hills. It was the base of operations for Psaro the Manslayer and was the final battlefield of the Manslayer War.

Description

The Citadel of Bronze was a large, complicated structure of red spires and metalwork. It appeared to originally be a castle or keep of some kind that was added on to with additional constructions, towers, and spires, which greatly increased the structure's height.   The entrance was a large wooden door many feet tall which could be barricaded with wooden crossbeams. The door led into the entrance antechamber which had a grand marble staircase decorated with column pillars and statues.   The interior was a well-furnished and lavish castle with many decorations in shades of reds, brass, and golds. Many rooms were in the interior, including service areas, kitchens, washrooms, pantries, bedrooms, and dining areas.   The central hallway of the keep had large tapesries and several bejeweled trophies and artifacts. The hall led further inwards towards the primary cathedral at the far end of the structure.

Rose Cathedral

A large cathedral was constructed in the back of the citadel, which Psaro dedicated to his lost love, Rose. The entrance to this area was a large black iron door with metal studs, which was protected by a powerful illusion spell designed to dishearten intruders.   The cathedral's interior had many rows of pews arranged on either side, with ornate carpets forming a central aisle. Fire braziers lit the interior and far above in the buttresses and arches were many steel chains arranged like great spiderwebs.   At the far side was a raised platform, which had stained glass windows looking out of the citadel to the surrounding Parthenian landscape.   A large marble statue of Rose was positioned on a semicircle dais, which formed a pool of water. The statue's eyes seemed to cry red water, which gathered in the pool below. At the conclusion of the fighting here, the statue broke and tumbled forwards.
