Clan Altai
Clan Altai is one of the five great hobgoblin clans of the Hobgoblin Khanate of southern Tarteria. Clan Altai holds the lands surrounding Tugrug, located south of Hezrou Pass in the Orog Range.
Description
Clan Altai holds the lands surrounding Tugrug. The clan is wide-ranging and encompasses several family lines and the Clan Altai legion. Tugrug is often seen as the "Gateway of the Hobgoblins". To their north, the red limestone cliffs of the Orog Range where a monument to the legendary figure, Orog, ever watches the northern pass. To the south are the expanding grassland fields of the central Khanate. The nearby Zavkhan Lake supplies Clan Altai with the resources needed to survive, but the stone sentinels of the aarakocra are ever watching from the mountains. In addition to the hobgoblins, the aarakocra of Mount Huma and the drow of Veldrinus use the resources of this great lake, which has brought them in conflict with Clan Altai of Tugrug. Khan Govrag is the most aggressive and impulsive of the Khans. Were it not for Grand Khan Brodur’s presence, he may have already gone to battle with the Astana Garrison over the rising tensions in the region. Physically strong, Govrag stands tall above the warriors of the Altai Legion, in front of which he can often be seen charging into battle with his warhammer against the beasts of the foothills and the peoples that threaten Altai’s claims. Despite his impulsiveness, his rage is kept in check by his loyalty to his clan and his family.Notable People
