Dry River Desert

In the late Fourth Age, the Dry River Desert was an expansive, sandy desert located in the Ruined Coast region of Gimora. It is located largely between the Parched Mountains and the Crumbling Peaks.
The Iron Highway leads through this desert, connecting the major countries of the continent. However, the shifting sands often cover parts of the roadway and it is difficult to safely maintain. Due to the desert's size, travel across is dangerous without additional supplies and covered wagons or carriages for protection.

History

The Third Age: The Age of Zenethia

During The Great War, much of the continent of Gimora was damaged. The area of the Dry River Desert was separated from the river system it was once a part of. Due to shifting climate and the loss of the river system, the area gradually became a large desert.

The Fourth Age: The Age of Shadow

In 4A 995, the Zenethian Heroes crossed the Dry River Desert southwards with the help of Graank from Grank's Ten-Foot Pole Emporium.
