Kraken's Wake

Considered the most dangerous part of the relatively benign South Sea, it is due to this particular part of its ocean depths being the deepest in the known world.
Within this abyss is where the krakens spawn, emerging forth and attacking ships that come near. Thankfully it is a well known location and wise captains learn to avoid it. However a few foolish souls do try to attempt to sail above these watery depths, hoping to save time and therefore money on their route to and from Far Alantris. These foolish souls rarely succeed.
