When Adrian Vi'Saan, true heir to the throne of the Judari Empire, was struck down by Union's invaders, it was thought that the Vi'Saan line would end, and the empire would never rise from the ashes. But a prophecy foretold that when the time was right, a new heir would arrive on Holtan, the Ascendancy's sword of vengeance, one who could re-unite the fractured Ju'Ad system, and drive out all taint of foreign meddling. Princess Emilena spent her life being trained for leadership, by her father's best, most trusted advisors. The Ascendancy reformed, but never forgot it's mission: to restore the Vi'Saan line, and Judari honor. While Emilena studied statecraft, military strategy, and the complex web of politics that persists in the stations above Holtan, they worked tirelessly to prepare for her return.
Though her existence was a secret from the rest of the system, Emilena had a chance to observe the goings-on of Holtan orbital politics, and has a good understanding of how things work outside the Ascendancy. Not that she intends for there to be an "outside the Ascendancy" for long; this is a crusade to regain what her father lost, and Emilena has no doubts about what conflicts will come in the future.
