Gruumsh
(a.k.a. Gruumsh One-Eye)
"Rise up in hordes and seize that which is rightfully yours!
Raid! Kill! Conquer!"
Gruumsh is the patron deity of the Orcs; an unblinking god of destruction who unleashes the savage multitudes against outposts of civilization. He is worshiped by orcs and came to dominate some of the other savage humanoids as well. Orc war priests wear a patch over one eye to symbolize their worship of their god. They also dress in dark red vestments, armored with war helms and black plate mail. Gruumsh's power is strongest during the new moon, when the nights are darkest. He is worshiped in orcish lairs where ritual blood letting demonstrates the priests' devotion to him. Orcs believe Gruumsh has always had one eye. The followers of Marutuk posit that their god struck an eye from Gruumsh's skull during battle, granting the Sha'adi victory over the orcs and driving them across the Luar River; securing the existence of The Asherai Sultanate.Divine Domains

Divine Goals & Aspirations
Orcs worship Gruumsh, the mightiest of the orc deities and their creator. The orcs believe that in ancient days, the gods gathered to divide the world among their followers. When it was Gruumsh’s turn to select a home for the orcs, the other gods attempted to play a trick on him. When Gruumsh claimed the mountains, he learned they had been taken by the Dwarves. He laid claim to the forests, but those had been settled by the Elves. Each place that Gruumsh wanted had already been claimed. The other gods laughed at Gruumsh, but he responded with a furious bellow. Grasping his mighty spear, he laid waste to the mountains, set the forests aflame, and carved great furrows in the fields. Such was the role of the orcs, he proclaimed, to take and destroy all that the other races would deny them. To this day, the orcs wage an endless war on all other races.
