Beastkin

Origin

Beastkin are the result of frantic unrestricted genetic experimentation during The Plague. The goal was to create a hybrid between humans and the various plant and animal species that showed immunity to the Plague, then synthesize a vaccine from them.

To an extent, the experiments were partially successful. Some hybrids were created, and some were even able to reproduce and create offspring. Only a few generations were able to be created, but countless facilities were able to create their own variations of hybrids, leading to the variety and geographic distribution of hybrids we see today.

The vaccines created unfortunately were very short lived, as the Plague is a very adaptable disease, and was constantly changing and had various strains.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Maintains a core human anatomy, but the traits of the hybridized species falls on a spectrum, ranging from a few markings to body shape, fur, scales, etc.
