Lizard Folk
With resources becoming increasingly scarce, in particular clean water, beastkin development branched into splicing reptilian traits into new and existing hybrids. Favorable traits including a resistance to heat, lower water needs, flexible metabolism, and a surprising resistance to radiation, many variations on the lizard were created.
Due to their affinity for dry, hot weather, many have settled in the desert regions that normally do not support human life.

Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Due to their reptilian heritage, most males have their genitalia receded inside a slit. Due to this trait, groin strikes are fairly uncommon for fighters from their territories.
Aside from the slit, reproduction is otherwise human.
Interestingly, lizard folk are more likely to have hybridized children than other races, leading to a wide variety of sub-species mixing lizard and other beastkin.

Ecology and Habitats
Many lizard folk have an affinity for dry, hot weather, and naturally prefer the desert regions of the world. Tropical regions can be attractive to some as well, depending on their heritage.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Lizard folk were engineered to be less reliant on water, and can pull most of their hydration from the food they eat in times of less intensive activity. Lighter diets with water dense foods are common among the various races.
