The Golden Sands

The Golden Sands is a large desert in the north, it is home to a variety of small towns, outposts, races, and creatures. The capital of this area is Jumana, in the northeast. The desert is a mix of rolling dunes and flat nothing for miles at a time. There are a smattering of oases throughout the desert but the area is pretty hostile to those not near a source of water.

Geography

While Jumana sits on the coast isolated from the rest of the land it maintains, the rest of the area is left in the sand. The Golden Desert is a mixed bag of evil, the area in the northeast is flat and and livable due to the proximity to the water and storms. Yet as you travel further inland the desert becomes increasingly hostile, the desert changes from a flat expanse to rolling dunes 20 to 30 feet high.

Fauna & Flora

There are few areas of growth in the desert constrained to that of the oases, yet there are a number of Cacti that grow in the flat desert closer to the coast.

Animals are less consistent but there are a plethora of creatures that wander the desert in search of prey. Monstorous things that have been know to attack and destroy whole settlements.
