Lady's Lake
The Lady's Lake is the gem of Nionibus. The world's largest body of fresh water, the Lady's Lake is a beautiful reminder of the gods' blessings. Sacred to Lady Coias, whose dawning sun may be seen reflected in its surface every morning, the lake has moderated the weather of Glemvale and the surrounding grasslands for aeons. Its bountiful fish, water plants, and clay supported the development of civilization in the First City, and the protective blessing of the lake and the mountain at Coias Peak helped the gnomes to flourish in the Windleashe Fields as the centuries rolled by. Now, the lake itself is protected as the Lady's Lake Imperial Park, and scientists are seeing a resurgence of native species long thought to be extinct or nearly so.
