Sauraine Peaks (SOUR-ayne)

Covering almost all of the island of Meeav, the Sauraine Peaks are limestone outcrops webbed through with caverns. Once, that was all they were. Now, they host the most extensive and prestigious center of learning in the whole of Berth; The Collegium. Relatively low in elevation and kept quite dry by the wind patterns in The Whelming Gulf, the weather in the Sauraine Peaks is comfortable year-round. The island and its mountains are home to many migratory sea birds, and the students of the Collegium have an annual bird-spotting competition from the windows of their dormitories.
