Lower Agartha

Lower Agartha is the lowest level of Agartha, Located underneath Central Agartha. It is a highly dangerous environment where strangeness affects everything to a far greater extent than anywhere else on The Boundless Expanse. Almost everything found here has properties considered strange to even those who frequently deal with strangeness. Expeditions to Lower Agartha are highly discouraged.

Geography

Lower Agartha consists of miles and miles of open caves plunged in an unnatural darkness. Ruins of what appears to be an ancient civilization can be found.
It is considered the closest you can get to Hell you can get without being at the threshold.

Localized Phenomena

Often described as "super-strange", the difference in strangeness between Lower Agartha and elsewhere on the Boundless Expanse is comparable to the difference in strangeness between the Boundless Expanse and The Known World
It affects living and nonliving materials alike, as well as everything in-between.

Natural Resources

It is the only known source of the metal arconium, and even then it can only be found in very small quantities.

History

Because of the dangerous environment, not much is known about the ruins that lie in Lower Agartha, or the civilization that may or may not have lived there.
