The Elder Wastes consits of miles and miles of sand dunes with the occasional oasis.

Ecosystem

The harsh dry environment of the Elder Wastes has resulted in a highly competative ecosystem not unlike the deserts one would find in the Known world

Fauna & Flora

Much of the fauna found in the Elder Wastes is consistent with most other deserts. Cacti, succulents, and other desert plants occasionally spot the landscape. Desert shoggoth are known to hide under the dunes, and dholes spend most of their time burrowing beneath the sand

Natural Resources

The Elder Wastes are one of the few known places in the Boundless Expanse to contain tulu-metal and laghium, two metals known for their unique properties. The metals are usually found in clumps buried underneath the sand. The blood of dholes can be processed into Liao, a powerful drug that allows one to mentally travel through space and time.
