The World Mushroom
The World Mushroom is a collossal mushroom located in the Mugartha Archipelago. It is well known as a safe haven for Mugarians, sheltering them from the ash storms and scorching summer heat of Mugartha. The cap alone covers an area of ground over ten miles across.
It is the center of a plethora of different Mugarthan faiths and spiritual practices.
Geography
The cap of the World Mushroom plunges a large area of land in an indefinite darkness.
Localized Phenomena
During the daytime, the gills of the World Mushroom emit floating balls of light known as Othah that provides light to the life it covers, and allows for the denizens to experience the day-night cycle. The Othah travels around the stem all day before returning up into the gills.
According to local legend, someone that enters the land beneath the World Mushroom for the first time is granted with visions of their future.
Climate
The land under the World Mushroom is frequently chilli and damp.
Fauna & Flora
The area under and over the World Mushroom is home to a large variety of unique fungi and fauna. Just like the archipelago is resides in, plant life is virtually nonexistent.

Specifically, the fungi under the World Mushroom is well-renowned for being especially wonderous and fantastical, and take forms not seen anywhere else on The Boundless Expanse.
