Tindalos

Tindalos is a stretch of space of immense yet unknowable size that exists as a result of mgahoth'soth, or impossible geometry, existing in tandem with standard geometry.   Entry is usually accidental, and either as a result of entering poor or unfinished R'lyehian architecture, or general strangeness.

Geography

The environment of Tindalos seems to reflect the environment at which impossible geometry forms, and as such a great amount of the area resembles the inside of R'lyehian architecture. Endless rectangular corridors of concrete and other cheap materials lead into empty concrete rooms connect to additional corridors infinitely. Regardless of the wall material, embellishments of gold and other expensive materials are found on many of the walls.   In some cases, the environment will reflect different types of architecture, or even nature, but natural or non-R'lyehian structures that utilize mgahoth'soth are rare.   The geometry of Tindalos is generally consistent to that of the rest of the Boundless Expanse when viewed on its own, with a notable exception at the locations where one can enter or exit. This can often make it difficult or impossible to exit the way one came.

Localized Phenomena

There seems to be very little correlation between entrances to Tindalos and their corresponding exits (i.e. entrances that are right next to each other can lead to places in Tindalos far apart).   It appears that Tindalos exists only relative to mgahoth'soth, and it is hypothesized that it would cease to exist if all structures were destroyed and their geometry fit to standard.   The entirety of Tindalos is filled with an ambient light from from no discernible location. The light level cannot be increased nor decreased by any means.

Fauna & Flora

Tindalos is inhabited by various strange creatures, most of which are hostile to anything that enters. The Hounds of Tindalos are the most common creature found here.   Plantlife is virtually nonexistent, but moss and mold can sometimes be found on the walls.

Natural Resources

Attempts to mass harvest the expensive resources that embellish the wall have been proposed, but the danger and the uncertainty proves to be too much of a deterrent.
