Graveyard Exploration

• The party entered the eerie graveyard with a feeling of being watched.
• Doarph searched for midnight bloom outside but found nothing, so the party entered the west burial mound.
  
  

West Burial Mound

• Inside, they found footprints in the dust, a heavy sarcophagus on a raised platform, and a metallic smell in the air.
• Doarph and Hobble opened the sarcophagus carefully, triggering a trap: the lid flew off, injuring Hobble.
• Poisonous gas filled the room; Alexa, Thalorin, and Doarph pulled Hobble out, just as the torch ignited the gas in a blaze.
• After the gas cleared, they rechecked the room but found only broken pots that had likely contained the fumes.
  
  

East Burial Mound

• This room was unnaturally dark, filled with incense smoke and haunting echoes.
• Doarph and Thalorin noticed a breathing, standing silhouette, assumed to be a long-dead creature.
• Using a lasso, they tried to pull the figure out, but only managed to pull its head off, which looked ancient and decayed.
  
  

Encounter with the Undead

• While inspecting the tombstones, a tombstone began rumbling, and a ghoulish creature emerged to reclaim the severed head before retreating.
• The party attempted to sneak up on it, but an accidental noise alerted the ghoul, leading to combat.
• Conventional weapons couldn’t fully kill the ghoul, but Doarph discovered that burning it with a torch ended it permanently.
• Another creature — a skeletal warrior wielding a shield and scimitar — emerged from another tomb. This foe was incredibly strong, damaging Alexa’s sword and Doarph’s throwing axe.
• After a challenging battle, the party prevailed and looted usable equipment.
  
  

Grave Disturbance and Retreat

• Thalorin attempted to loot graves, but this caused additional tombstones to start shifting ominously.
• With multiple graves beginning to stir, the party retreated from the sepulcher, still without the midnight bloom.
