Petal of the Midnight Bloom

Objective

Malakar the Hedge-Mage has concocted a plan to trace the source of the magical disruption. He is in the process of brewing an occult potion, for which you have already provided two of the key ingredients (Malakar's Missing Shipment).

To complete the concoction, Malakar requires a petal from the rare Midnight Bloom plant. When flowering, it resembles a crocus with vibrant purple petals and bright red stamens, which are caustic to the touch. Once plucked, the bloom wilts and dies quickly, rendering the ingredient unsuitable for the potion within 3 days.

The Midnight Bloom grows near sites of strong magical energy, and often in dimly-lit locations.
