Guide of the Way

Æranth looked for the opening in the rock he knew was somewhere, but could not see it. "It's this way," came Guide of the Way's always soothing voice, along with a slight tug to the left.

Guide of the Way is a Living Sword created by Dæleon mid-way through his career. It is a very powerful long sword, able to do nearly twice the damage of similar swords, even Champion's Swords. It is able to communicate with its wielder via a form of telepathy, as well as tugging and thrumming actions. Guide has an unerring sense of direction. If a target of any sort is communicated to it via it's wielder, it can guide them toward it. Within 20m it is pinpoint accurate, with accuracy diminishing with distance. However, the range of this ability is over 2000km, at which point the accuracy is within 5°, or about 180km.
Guide of the Way prefers wielders who are seeking something, so it can use its powers. However, it generally doesn't hold grudges and always functions at least as a powerful magical weapon for its wielder.
Guide was the primary weapon of Æranth the Seeker for most of his career as a bounty hunter, treasure hunter, and all around adventurer. Æranth and Guide formed a friendship that lasted until his death.
