Saren Blithinger is a warrior of some notoriety. As a member of Alexander Lightsword's former adventuring party, his exploits are local legends. After parting ways with that group, for unknown reasons, Saren continued operating with his partner, Tajah the Lioness, another member of that team. Together the two won a number of pitched battles, eventually ousting the Council of Mages from Lyr.
Blithinger lost his entire race as a child. The Wind Elves were annihilated by the Council of Mages. It is unknown how he survived. It is known that he spent his childhood on the streets as an urchin before discovering the Dawnfolk. Allegedly he attempted to rob their caravan while they were performing in his town. He was taken in by the traveling group, and eventually taught to perform as a knife thrower, trickshot, and a duelist. His anger at the treatment often received by the transient group eclipsed their peaceful nature, and eventually he left to seek justice elsewhere. It was at this time he met Ryan Wolfbane, Alexander Lightsword, and the other members of their group.
Saren's whereabouts are currently a thing of gossip and speculation. It is rumored he is responsible for murders all across Westmark.

Motivation
Vengeance has always been Saren's primary motivation. He often believes he is the only person dispassionate enough to commit atrocities for just causes. He sees and respects the goodness and purity of his few friends, and prefers to have blood on his hands in order to keep theirs clean.
