Personal history

Semprem comes from a distant land and is the only person in Madame Veehn's Circus older than Madam Veehn herself.  She is a widow with three children.

Employment

Vendor in Madame Veehn's Circus.
Semprem is in charge of the principal vendor caravan which generally sets up near the arrival area for the public.  Semprem oversees the inventory, sales and exchange of moneys while the restocking, deliveries and other labor is performed by some of the orphans which have been picked up or attached themselves to the circus.
The goods for sale vary greatly and can include things such as :

• Ancient tomes (mostly legal but not always)
• Jewelry (mostly novelty items, rarely of any value)
• Living creatures (strange and uncommon)
• Exotic clothing
• Other typical wares
But can also include stranger, unexplained things.  Some past wares include :
• Items lost, sometimes years past, by local inhabitants
• A dragon's foot
• An actual fairy in a bottle
• Magical potions (from fertility to fire-breathing)
• A pebble weighing 200 lbs
• Living shrunken heads
• A functioning mechanical scorpion
• Phoenix feathers
• And more

Semprem's three children are charged with travelling to the far reaches of the land and beyond in search of new goods.  At any given time, one of them might be travelling with the circus between trips.

Semprem is not a gentle woman, but she is not unkind either.  Her direct nature is accompanied by an instant familiarity with strangers which comes across as comforting and charming.
