Galdurs

Galdurs are the centerstones of the soul. they act as a sort of medium between the spirit and the physical body. the body produces energy, which enters through the galdurs and enriches the spirit, making it stronger.
these gladurs are the core components that make up the soul of a being. they are pools of Vitki, they are what channels and guides the energy in your body, and they are what produces the Aura that is the life flame of your soul. Each pool is tied to the physical body and acts as a medium that your soul both rests in and interweaves with the physical body. they represents an area of The Aspects, as well as larger portions of a persons self/sense of being/identity. these four galdurs are known by many names, and with a number of meanings depending on the culture in question, but in all cases they can be broken down to the: Mind, Heart, Breath, and Core.

(Itse) the mind galdur
(found at the third eye and is to do with emotions, perception, force of will and consciousness. It is largely responsible for why your aura changes colors with your emotions). Harnessing this pools ability allows you to see and read/sense life auras.

(Löyly) the heart galdur
(resides in the center of your chest and is related to pattern recognition [how rune magic was first discovered was by harnessing this skill to find specific patterns in nature], shape of self/form, sense of self/identity/personality, and cycles both physical, emotional and mental). Harnessing this ability allows you to discern details in immense detail, and can have near photographic memory.

(Henki) the breath galdur
(found in the diaphragm, it is related to breath, spirit, life, strength, and resonance [pitch and Melodys are apart of some of the magic’s mechanics]. Harnessing this pools ability allows you to produce what’s called a soulsong (the language of the spirits) and is directly usable as one of the magic systems. It is also attributed to empathy and the ability to connect to others or “listen to their soul (song)”

(Luonto) the core galdur
(found in the core of the body just below your navel, it is related to grounding, connection and grants the ability of attunement.) It also attributed to gut feelings and instinct. harnessing this pools ability allows you to form attunements to spells, items, spirits, or even the essences themselves.

Leylines

each galdur produces from it a web of lines that streatch out of each of the four and into the rest of the body. these leylines are channels or pathways sort of like veins used for blood but instead for spiritual energy. each galdur has eight lines that streatch from itself. the top and bottom lines of each twist around their neighboring galdur and connect to it there creating a larger channel that links all four pools like a main cannal.
the lower four lines of the Core galdur are called the "roots" and they extend down into the legs of the body and beyond into the ground itself.
the lines of the upper half of the core as well as the lines of the breath galdur and the lower heart galdur make up what is called the "trunk" as it is where most of your vital organs are, as well as where you body makes a lot of its energy, and uses a lot of its energy.
the lines of the upper half of the heart galdur as well as two of the lower lines of the mind galdur weave down the arms and into the hands all the way to the finger tips. these make up what are called the "limbs" or sometimes "branches" of your soul.
finally the upper half, or should i say upper 3/4 of the mind galdur, is called the "crown". these lines extend beyond the head and drift out of the body like feelers or outstreatched tendrils. sometimes they can get twisted or crossed which causes discomfort.

these leylines are important as they carry the spiritual energy throughout the body where that energy then difuses into the physical body as strength, before evaporating into the air around you as your Aura. if ever these leylines are crossed, dammaged, blocked, etc. they can cause disriptions in ones physical, mental and emotional abilities. similarly, sufficient damage to ones physical body, mental health, or emotional state can also throw their lines off balance causeing the blockages. it is unknown whether the one is caused by the other or vise versa.
what is known, is that correcting the leylines can allow the dammage or blockage to heal. if one is experiencing physical pain in their arm, and someone who can read auras was to check that arm, they might find that it had been blocked in some way, and could attempt to unblock it themself, or find a way to get the patient to unblock it themself.
for physical cases, it can be helped along by a specially trained person, to help the patients body "figure out" what is wrong and fix itself. almost like pointing out that the sorenees is because of a thorn in your side, and then your body realizes "oh wait thats not supposed to be there! let be push that out!".
for emotional cases, attempting to manipulate or forcefully unblock theses channels can cause the patient to experience immense discomfort, pain and intense flashes of emotions linked to whatever might have been causeing the blockage. it is not uncommon for a healer to nudge or prod at these blockages while the patient goes through a guided meditation to attempt to locate the cause of the pain and deal with it.
for mental cases it is similar to emotional cases but with some slight differences. emotions are, in a way, simple. they are predictable and typically linked to something outside of itself. most frequently they are tied to mental blocks but they can also be tied to physical blocks as well, and so can mental to physical and so too can all three be wound about all at once. a healer attempting to unblock a mental issue would likely have to help the patient dig into their subconscious. mental blocks are often harsh memories locked away to ease yourself form pain. they can also be lies you tell yourself, or things your struggling with even if you havent realized it yet. to help someone with a mental blockage you must help them see themselves and be able to face and accept what they see even if they dont like it.

Damaged galdurs

in each galdur are four unique traits called The Aspects. these are the components that make up all things and are found in all matter and spirits. but the aspects are not always balanced, and certain traits that are more dominant can manefest into specific abilities, skills, and powers. this occurs when a person is greatly distressed by some internal or external event. when this occurs, the essences become so imbalanced that one of their Galdurs can crack or even fully break.

a cracked galdur would be caused by a specific essence becomeing over whelmed and causes that essence to leak out of your soul. this can be harnessed and used to develope certain skills or abilities. to leave a galdur cracked however is not healthy and will lead to continious distress to the individual until they can find a new balance. it is possible to "mend" a crack, in doing so you would reconstruct part of your galdur and adapt to the changed version of yourself. this is done by forms of acceptance and can lead to you becoming stronger as a result and even maintaining the abilities gained by the crack which would then flow in a more effecient and healthy way.


similarly a fully broken galdur occurs when all of the attributes are thrown off balance to the point that the whole galdur breaks and all of its essences flow wildly out of your soul. this can be harnessed and used to develop any of the skills one essence might have as well as one unique trait linked to that galdur. it is possible to "mend" a broken galdur, in doing so you would also completely reconstruct that galdur in a way to allow you to freely access all of its essence. this is done by going through imense healing of the internal and external things that caused it to break until you can find true balance once again. as a result the abilities gained could be preserved and maintained as well as could be accessed in a more effecient and healthy way.


when the mind galdur is cracked it will cause the following affects depending on the damage caused to the traits of essences:

damage to (Presence/sense of self) causes you to become lucid of the spiritual realm and even able to peer into it through dreams or visions,

damage to (Persception/awareness) allows you to develope the ability to percieve/ sense the presence of an Aura which will visually appear as a wisping glowing energy that shifts hues based on that person's personality and mood,

damage to (Change/willpower) causes you to be able to manipulate your own aura with more ease and shape it to your will,

damage to (emotion/empathy) allows you to control the hue of your own aura both fringe and root into any of the hues allowing you to creature pure or specifically mixed essences from yourself or even to make it invisible to others.

if the mind galdur is broken fully, it will cause all of the former affects to occur as well as cause the individual to be able to Astral Project



when the heart galdur is cracked it will cause the following affects depending on the damage caused to the traits of essences:

damage to (rhythm/ resonance) causes you to develope a natural ability to notice patterns in the environment around you in the form of manerisms behaviors and even in some cases Runes,

damage to (pattern/identity) makes you able to retain patterns within yourself giving you a form of eidetic memory,

damage to (shape/body) causes you to gain the ability to manipulate the soul within your body in ways to change and redierect the shape or strength of your soul or in some cases to shift your physical form itself,

damage to (motion/flow) allows you to channel energy out of yourself in thin lines of Vitki.

if the heart galdur is fully broken, it will cause all of the former affects to occur as well as cause the individual to be able to perform what is called Soul Shaping



when the breath galdur is cracked it will cause the following affects depending on the damage caused to the traits of essences:

damage to (freedom/indepenace) causes you to develope a keen connection to sound also called "perfect pitch" its relation being the idea that indepencance allows you to isolate independant notes or pitches,

damage to (passion/understanding) causes you to develope a natural understanding of spirits allowing you to more easily communicate with them and hear their "song",

damage to (strength/power) causes you to easily produce breath from yourself without the need to physically exhale,

damage to (peace/tranquility) allows you to enter a focused state where your mind is clear and able to focus on one sol thing.

if the breath galdur is fully broken, it will cause the former affects to all occur, as well as cause the individual to be able to perform soul resonance projection, also known as Soulsinging



when the core galdur is cracked it will cause the following affects depending on the damage caused to the traits of essences:

damage to (grounding/roots) causes you to feel the essence of the world around you,

damage to (growth/improvement) causes you to be able to find strength from within yourself and "pour" it outward into other things and invigorate the essence within it,

damage to (connection/sympathy) causes you to find connections to the other essencess and form a tether or "attunement" to it as if it were a part of your own soul,

damage to (value/boundries) causes you to "tune" your aura to the essence around it and mimic its properties.

if a core galdur is fully broken, it will cause the former affects to all occur as well as cause the individual to be able to perform something called Tether Binding.
