Lúrk
South low cyclopic: Lúrk /luːrkh/
North low cyclopic: Íbb /ipː/
Lúrk is the smallest of Borgalor's four continents, located south of the equator between Örkraz to the west, the Southlands to the south, and the Teleyk Islands and Jælondis to the northeast. It's home to the hulking Cyclopes, one of the world's largest sapient species, as well as small but diverse communities who've moved there over the last three centuries, particularly in the city of Hva to the north.
Currently, the three most powerful countries in Lúrk are Onap to the north, Úfú in the central highlands, and Púrk to the south.

Geography
Lúrk is roughly drop-shaped with the tip pointing north-northwest, the western coastline is broken by numerous fjords, peninsulas and islands, while the eastern and southern one is far smoother. Cyclopean mythology has several stories attempting to explain this difference between the asymmetry, including the west coast's shape being the result of a conflict between the deities of the earth and sky, ending with the latter taking a part of the continent with them to the heavens, or the fjords being bite marks left by a sea monster that tried to devour the land.
Much of the continent has rugged terrain even outside the central and southern highlands, with the highest peak being Mt. Gevk to the south. The longest river in Lúrk is Hvadól to the northwest.
Lúrk has relatively few large settlements, the most notable ones being Deip, Hva and Úfú City, with most of the inhabitants being spread across towns and villages dotting the continent, particularly in the lowlands.

Climate
The climate is overall characterized by hot, dry summers and humid, warm winters, with frequent thunderstorms throughout the year.
Fauna & Flora
Due to its isolation, the continent is home to a number of endemic fauna and flora, including suine- and Equine Hippalektryons, Serpopards, elephant seals, fig trees and gourds.
Natural Resources
While the land has an abundance of various ores and minerals, mining is mostly restricted to quarries and more recently magic crystals rather than metals, as the latter are sacred to the cyclopes and only to be used for ceremonial objects. In some countries such as Onap, only local ores are regarded as holy, and thus have allowed the importation of certain mundane metal tools and other objects, but not ores.
