Following the
Dragon War , the Dragonborn society is a shell of its former greatness. Their great cities have been destroyed and their social structure has become Tribal, Nomadic and Isolationist. Dragonborn rarely venture outside the boarders of their once great Kingdom.
Those that do travel are met with animosity and distrust.
Since the Dragon war many of the the great Dragonborn nations have either been destroyed or disbanded. Now Dragonborn are widely shunned and treated with suspicion and discontent. Their only true sanctuaries are the scatted tribes that live in the wilderness away from the other races.
To any dragonborn, the clan is more important than life itself. Dragonborn owe their devotion and respect to their clan above all else, even the gods. Each dragonborn’s conduct reflects on the honor of his or her clan, and bringing dishonor to the clan can result in expulsion and exile. Each dragonborn knows his or her station and duties within the clan, and honor demands maintaining the bounds of that position.
A continual drive for self-improvement reflects the self-sufficiency of the race as a whole. Dragonborn value skill and excellence in all endeavors. They hate to fail, and they push themselves to extreme efforts before they give up on something. A dragonborn holds mastery of a particular skill as a lifetime goal. Members of other races who share the same commitment find it easy to earn the respect of a dragonborn.
Though all dragonborn strive to be self-sufficient, they recognize that help is sometimes needed in difficult situations. But the best source for such help is the clan, and when a clan needs help, it turns to another dragonborn clan before seeking aid from other races—or even from the gods.

Types of Dragonborn
Dragonborn are broken into three sub-catagories
- Chromatic Dragonborn normally come from colder climates and as such are now oftern found on the scattering of islands to the north of Eldetha. These Dragon born have returned to their Tribal ways following their heavy losses during The Dragon War.
- Metallic Dragonborn are normally found in warmer climates of the south. Though they too suffered losses in the war, many of their cities still remain hidden in Jungles, Deserts and Mountains.
- Gem Dragonborn, few Gem Dragonborn participated in The Dragon War with many of them choising to live in the secluded isolation either deep underground or in the hard to reach peaks of mountain ranges.

Skin
Dragonborn come in a range of colours based on their Dragon Ancestory.
Hair
Though they do not have hair as such, many Dragonborn have a crest of hornlike scales forming what resembls a mess of ropy hair.
Eyes
Dragonborn have reptilian eyes, that come in every colour imaginalable. The eye colour of a dragonborn do not appear to be hereditary as oftern parent Dragonborn have different eye colours to those of their offspring.
Age
Young dragonborn grow quickly. They walk hours after hatching, attain the size and development of a 10-year-old human child by the age of 3, and reach adulthood by 15. They live to be around 80.
Size
Dragonborn are taller and heavier than humans, standing well over 6 feet tall and averaging almost 250 pounds. Your size is Medium.
