Elf

Descendent from those that traveled from the Feywild, the elves or Boriel have a deep connection to nature and the natural magical energies that surrounds all living things. The twin High Elven nations of Teu-tel Triumvirate and the Ar'Tel Dominion are the largest concentration of elves in Eldetha. Both Nations of governed by a collections of great houses however; the Moon Elves of the Teu-tel Triumvirate rule through their wielding of social-political power. Where as the Sun Elves of the Ar'Tel Dominion gain power through their military and magical prowess. In the wilds of Eldetha live the Wood Elf tribal communities collectively known as the Kander.

Types of Elves

  • High Elves (Split into two sub categories of the Sun Elves and the Moon Elves.): Highly skilled with magic, these Elves are known for the high value they place on bring prestige to their family name.
  • Wood Elves : Deeply connected with nature their Wisdom is revered by many.
  • Drow: Living in the Underdark , they are distrusted by most. They spend their lives training for their war with the surface world, on the orders of the cruel God Lolth.
  • Sea Elves : Living deep beneath the waves, they battle endlessly against the Sahugin and other creatures of the deep.

Standard Elf Features

  Age Although elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100 and can live to be 750 years old.

Size

Elves range from under 5 to over 6 feet tall and have slender builds. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Elves base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision

Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, Elves have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. Elves can see in dim light within 60 feet of Elves as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. Elves can't discern color in darkness, only shades of grey.

Fey Ancestry

Elves have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put Elves to sleep.

Trance

Elves do not sleep. Instead they meditate deeply, remaining semi-conscious, for 4 hours a day. The Common word for this meditation is "trance". While meditating, Elves dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive after years of practice. After resting in this way, Elves gain the same benefit a human would from 8 hours of sleep.

Elves have proficiency in the Perception skill.

Elves can speak, read, and write Common and Elven.
