(GE-EN)
Gien champions freedom, travel, trade, and adventure across the lands. Her will heralds open frontiers, and her call beckons her followers to discover that which awaits them beyond the known. Her worship is common among merchants, free spirits, and adventurers, and tavern cheers celebrate her as a bringer of luck and fortune.

Legends

Gien is well known for her wild and extravgent parties. It was custom at such events that guests presents gifts to their host and in return she would bestow her boon of good fortune upon them, with gifts of greater value earning greater rewards. On the occations when Gien was not satisfied by the gifts offered to her instead of a boon she would instead place a curse of ill fortune on the guest until such a time that they had "payed for their insult".   It was at one such party that Gien was approched by a young and ambisious Dwarf Noble from the Duregar Clan. It is said that the young Dwarf spoke to her as no other had before. Soon the two became romantically involved and Gien gifted the young Dwarf with knowledge of great riches buried deep underground. Though it pained her to do so, Gien permitted the Noble to leave and share the knowledge with his people, whilst she arranged for the two to be wed.   When the time came for the two to be wed Gien was left standing alone waiting for her young Noble. She sent her agents to find the noble and return with news of his location. When they did, her heart broke, for she learned that the Noble had taken his Clan deep underground, there they found a new home and the Noble had found himself a new wife. In her anger Gien implanted false infromation in the minds of each member of Clan Duregar, that drove them deeper and deeper underground. There they found no riches only capture and enslavement at the hands of the Illithids.
