Cythilo Shipyard
Cythilo Shipyard is the only shipwright in Afthonia capable of constructing vessels larger than a fishing sloop. The company was founded by Amnus Cythilo shortly after the portals closed. Amnus Cythilo's great grandson, Androsis Cythilo is the current head of the Shipyard.
The Shipyard has long been a well-respected, highly-regarded pillar of Afthonia, though that respect has begun to wane under current leadership. Cythilo ships are regarded as high-quality and reliable utilitarian vessels, capably designed and expertly crafted. Cythilo Shipyard has historically operated at very low margins, making Cythilo ships relatively affordable, lending to the Shipyard's respect and popularity. Thus, the Cythilo family has never had great wealth, but instead lived comfortably and re-invested capital into the business, craftsman wages, and Afthonian infrastructure.
As a singular private entity, Cythilo Shipyard is not a member of the Asilo Guild Consortium. However, the Harbormaster's Alliance does oversee much of the business dealings of the Shipyard, as it has close ties with the shipping and trade industry of Afthonia.
