Geography
Bersa is a dark realm that reflects the twisted desires of Quorin, the god of oblivion and un-life. If Quorin had their way, all planes would be affected by negative energy, devoid of life and true existence. Bersa is a harsh and unforgiving place, seemingly devoid of any signs of life. However, upon closer inspection, one can discover various types of fungi and molds that thrive in the desolate landscape, adding a touch of eerie beauty to the otherwise barren realm. The sky is perpetually shrouded in darkness, casting an ominous and chilling atmosphere throughout the entire realm. The thin air, devoid of vitality, immediately weakens any living creature, making survival an even more daunting challenge.
As one ventures deeper into the shadowy realm of Bersa, they will come across desolate mountains that reach towards the bleak heavens, barren moors stretching as far as the eye can see, and ruined cities that serve as haunting reminders of a once-thriving civilization. The forests within Bersa are filled with twisted, diseased black trees that seem to pulsate with an otherworldly energy, creating an unsettling and surreal scene. The colossal fungi that dot the landscape add an element of grandeur and mystique, their towering forms serving as towering sentinels of decay. Everywhere one looks, the ground is littered with bones and molds, a testament to the perpetual cycle of death and decay that envelops Bersa.
Similar to the other planes within the Chaos Sphere, the blighted lands of Bersa are traversed by the river Uibaec. This dark and corrupted river brings with it the insidious and corrupting influence of the plane, further perpetuating the cycle of decay and despair. It serves as a constant reminder of the malevolent power that Quorin wields over Bersa and the surrounding realms.
Localized Phenomena
Any creature that dies on Bersa is quickly transformed into an undead or lesser Demon within an hour, unless stopped by powerful spells. This transformation occurs due to the unique magical properties of the plane. Necromantic Magic thrives in Bersa, with a wide range of spells and rituals that are particularly potent in this realm. The reanimated undead, whether they are zombies, skeletons, or other forms, can be influenced and controlled by petitioners or lesser demons, adding an element of unpredictability to the realm. Moreover, resurrection spells on Bersa do not bring back the deceased to their original form but instead transfer their soul into the body of a demon, highlighting the dark and twisted nature of Bersa.
Fauna & Flora
In this sinister realm, where the plane is infested with undead creatures, one can witness their eerie presence as they wander freely or arise unexpectedly from the earth. These creatures, driven by an insatiable hunger for life energy, lurk in every corner, ready to strike unsuspecting souls who dare to set foot in their domain. However, there is a glimmer of hope for those who are accompanied by experienced guides, as they are usually spared from the relentless attacks of the majority of undead creatures. But alas, the same cannot be said for the specific types of demons under the command of Quorin.
